SMPP?

The Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) is an open, industry standard protocol widely used in the telecommunication industry.
SMPP is desinged to provide a flexible data communication interface for the transfer of SMS messages between Short Message Service Centeres (SMSC), Routing Entities (RE), and SMS Application Systems (or External Short Messaging Entities (ESME)).
SMPP is an application protocol over TCP/IP, which allows fast and reliable delivery of SMS messages. The latest version of SMPP specification currently is 5.0 ( can be found at http://opensmpp.org/specs/smppv50.pdf ). At SureM, we support SMPP 3.4 and 5.0 so whichever protocol the customer prefers – we can easily modify the system or even customize it upon request.

  1. yeah!! SMPP Server is best suited to business brands that have a high volume of bulk messaging requirements. It is an IP/TCP based protocol that is widely used when connecting to service providers and mobile operators. One of the most significant advantages of this protocol over a simple GSM modem is overall capacity. The speed of this protocol is also worth mentioning.
