Highlights from 2015 conference
The GSMA’s fourth annual Shanghai-based event, Mobile World Congress Shanghai, was a resounding success, exceeding our expectations of 40,000 attendees, exhibitors, speakers and press/analysts.
Under the theme of “Mobile Unlimited”, MWC Shanghai focused on how mobile technology – from connected cars and wearable tech to mobile payments and smarter cities – is revolutionising and enhancing every aspect of individuals’ lives.

- Nearly 350 companies participated in our 2015 exhibition, which spanned three MWC Shanghai halls at SNIEC, as well as one hall at the Shanghai Digital Information Festival. The Festival complemented the programmes at Mobile World Congress Shanghai by demonstrating how citizens can utilise technology across many aspects of their everyday lives, such as education, healthcare, travel and entertainment.
- Fourteen countries and territories from around the world showcased innovative companies and ideas from their citizens in dedicated Country Pavilions
- At the GSMA Innovation City, 12,000 attendees saw first-hand how mobile-connected products are transforming our personal and working lives.
